Midland Care Connection is a not-for-profit, community-based organization dedicated to helping older adults and seriously ill individuals stay independent and supported in their homes. Established in 1978, we offer a full continuum of care, including hospice, palliative care, home health, grief and loss counseling, and our signature PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) program. Our mission centers on "meeting individual needs through innovative care solutions," and we serve people across multiple counties in northeast Kansas.
Human Resources Administrative Support Specialist
The HR Administrative Support Specialist at Midland Care Connection plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the Human Resources department by providing efficient administrative and organizational assistance. This position helps coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities, maintains accurate employee records, responds to employee inquiries, schedules meetings and interviews, and prepares HR reports and documentation. The specialist also manages HR correspondence, supports departmental projects and initiatives, and ensures compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. With a strong focus on accuracy, organization, and confidentiality, this role helps create a seamless experience for applicants, employees, and the HR team while contributing to the overall success of the organization.
- High school diploma or equivalent required

Minimum of one (1) year of administrative support experience, preferably in Human Resources or an office environment

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with applicants, employees, and leadership

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Previous experience working in a Human Resources department
