Duties
- Perform a variety of nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, acrylic and nail extensions, and intricate nail art using color theory principles.
- Apply and customize nail enhancements such as acrylics and gel overlays with precision and care.
- Conduct thorough sanitation and disinfection procedures for all tools, equipment, and workstations to ensure salon safety protocols are strictly followed.
- Provide expert advice on nail care, maintenance, and the latest trends to enhance client satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences, offer recommendations for additional services like eyelash extensions or body waxing, and upsell retail products confidently.
- Stay current with industry trends by continuously updating skills in areas such as dermabrasion, esthetic laser treatments, hair threading, and hair styling when applicable.
- Maintain detailed client records of services provided and follow up for future appointments or product recommendations.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Nail Technician or in the beauty industry with a strong portfolio of nail art and extension work.
- Knowledge of color theory, nail care techniques, and salon safety protocols is essential.
- Familiarity with sanitation standards, disinfection procedures, and proper use of salon equipment.
- Excellent communication skills to connect with diverse clients and understand their needs clearly.
- Ability to perform multiple services including manicure, pedicure, gel nails, acrylics, and other advanced treatments confidently.
- Experience in retail sales or upselling products is preferred but not required.
- Certification in cosmetology or esthetician licensing as mandated by local regulations is highly desirable.
