Old Rochester Regional School District is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to the Assistant Principal at the Old Rochester Regional High School for grades 9-12. This position works the 180-day school year, plus 10 additional days. Under the general direction/supervision of the Assistant Principal, this position provides administrative support in organizing, planning, and managing all of the activities related to the school & assistant principal office to ensure the efficient operation and compliance with all DESE regulations.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare and send correspondenceReceive and route incoming/outgoing mail and telephone callsEstablish and maintain files and recordsMaintain calendar and appointments for the Assistant PrincipalPrepare, process, and submit reports and formsAssist with MCAS preparation, registration, and organization of testing materialsOrganize student parkingPrepare and maintain student locker informationMonitor tardies for Saturday schoolCreate and manage all forms (student privileges, student events, etc)Create and distribute progress reports and report cardsEnter data and create reports in PowerSchoolType and distribute bulletins, agendas, notices, and other communications as requested by the Assistant PrincipalMaintain accurate and timely discipline records Schedule and maintain an accurate up-to-date calendar of events that occur during the day and after school hoursProcess purchase orders as requested by the Assistant PrincipalCommunicate effectively with all school personnel, students, parents, and the community in generalMaintain positive working relationships with all school personnel, students and parentsMaintain confidentiality on all mattersParticipate as a member of the office staff and shares duties as appropriatePerform all other responsibilities as directed by the Assistant Principal or designee Physical RequirementsLight to medium physical effort is generally required in performing the duties of this position.Standing, sitting, bending, and lifting as needed and the capability to physically assist students
