Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time Kennel Technician based in Oklahoma who is willing to complete approximately two months of paid training in Wichita, Kansas, before transferring to our new facility in Piedmont, Oklahoma.
During training, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals, learning every aspect of our daily operations, canine care standards, puppy development program, and facility protocols.
This is a physically demanding, fast-paced position where no two days are the same. The right person will thrive in an environment that values initiative, teamwork, attention to detail, and exceptional animal care.

Schedule
- Full-time
- Wednesday–Sunday
- Monday & Tuesday off
- Rotating weekends required
- Holiday availability required
Because dogs require care every day of the year, weekends and holidays are part of the position.
Primary Responsibilities
Your daily responsibilities may include:
- Feeding and watering dogs and puppies
- Cleaning and disinfecting kennels and buildings
- Monitoring dog health, appetite, and behavior
- Exercising and socializing dogs
- Assisting with puppy development and enrichment
- Bathing and basic grooming
- Administering medications as directed
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe facility
- Assisting breeders and trainers with daily operations
- Moving supplies and unloading dog food deliveries
- Providing exceptional care while maintaining our high standards
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Be willing to temporarily relocate to Wichita, KS for approximately two months of training before transferring to Piedmont, OK
- Pass a criminal background check
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Be comfortable handling large, energetic working-breed dogs
- Be able to repeatedly lift and carry 50–75 pounds
- Stand, walk, bend, squat, and remain physically active throughout 8–10 hour shifts
- Be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, mud, and other weather conditions
- Be dependable, punctual, and professional
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Communicate respectfully with coworkers
- Follow written and verbal instructions carefully
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, experience in the following is beneficial:
- Kennels or boarding facilities
- Veterinary clinics
- Dog daycare
- Farms or ranches
- Livestock care
- Professional dog training
- Working breeds such as Dobermans, German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, Dutch Shepherds, or similar breeds
- Administering medications
- Reading canine body language and behavior
