Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and ensure on-time arrivals.
- Load and unload merchandise with proper techniques, including heavy lifting and merchandising tasks.
- Communicate professionally with customers to confirm delivery details, answer questions, and build strong relationships.
- Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and compliance records in line with organizational standards.
- Follow all safety protocols during driving, loading, unloading, and vehicle maintenance to ensure a secure work environment.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to inspect, maintain, and operate a motor vehicle.
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmissions.
- Ability to pull and back bumper pull deck over trailers.
- Proven ability in route driving, customer service, and client communication within retail or similar environments.
- Strong math skills for pricing calculations, inventory management, and basic financial transactions.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and heavy lifting safety procedures required for handling merchandise.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage schedules, deliveries, and documentation efficiently.
- Experience in retail store operations or merchandising is a plus.
- Experience in commercial driving roles can be advantageous due to discipline and route management skills.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and customers seamlessly.
- Must have the ability to pass a DOT physical.
