About the Role
Mission Athletics Club is looking for passionate, energetic Baseball and Softball Coaches to lead our semi-private training sessions. This is an exciting opportunity to help athletes develop their skills in a fun, positive, and professional environment.
Our coaching staff will work together to deliver a consistent training experience. Mission Athletics Club will provide the lesson programming and curriculum, while coaches are encouraged to contribute ideas and feedback to continually improve our training programs.
Responsibilities
- Coach semi-private baseball and softball lessons for athletes of various ages and skill levels. 6U-12U will our primary focus.
- Teach proper fundamentals, mechanics, and game awareness.
- Create a positive, motivating, and encouraging learning environment.
- Ensure athlete safety and maintain a professional coaching atmosphere.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and fellow coaches.
- Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe training facility.
- Collaborate with the Mission Athletics Club team to enhance lesson programming.
QualificationsRequired
- High school or college baseball or softball playing experience.
- Passion for developing young athletes.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
Preferred
- Previous coaching or instruction experience.
- Experience working with children.
- CPR and AED Certification.
- First Aid Certification.
Requirements
- Must successfully pass a background check and screening prior to employment.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Ability to demonstrate baseball or softball skills and remain active during training sessions.
