Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting sleep studies and monitoring patients during their sleep to diagnose sleep disorders. You will utilize your expertise in sleep medicine and physiology to ensure accurate data collection and patient safety throughout the testing process.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive polysomnographic studies on patients to assess sleep patterns and diagnose disorders.
- Monitor vital signs and physiological parameters during sleep studies, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Perform physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations as needed, documenting findings accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret data and develop treatment plans for patients with sleep disorders.
- Maintain a clean and organized sleep center environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Educate patients about the procedures involved in sleep studies and provide support throughout the process.
- Stay updated on advancements in sleep medicine, anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and respiratory therapy practices.
Experience
- Proven knowledge of vital signs monitoring, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology is essential.
- Experience in a sleep center or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation techniques related to sleep medicine is a plus.
- Previous experience in respiratory therapy may enhance your application but is not mandatory.
