Blu Petroleum is the premier fuel partner in the Chicago land area. We are currently seeking a HEAVY TRUCK MECHANIC, reporting to Lead mechanic, working out of MUNDELEIN, IL.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Troubleshooting.
- Checking vehicle lighting systems.
- Performing DOT preventative maintenance on trucks.
- Servicing breaks and suspension systems.
- Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles.
- Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist.
- Maintaining a parts inventory.
- Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- .4+ years Heavy Truck Mechanic experience.
- Previous PM tech experience with verifiable truck and/or trailer knowledge.
- Team Player.
- Aptitude for mathematics and science.
- Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components.
- Excellent IT and diagnostic skills.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.
- Attention to detail/Organized.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
