Responsibilities
- Install new irrigation systems, including automated control units, ensuring proper setup and functionality
- Perform routine maintenance on irrigation equipment and systems to optimize performance
- Troubleshoot system issues using electrical diagnostics and system troubleshooting techniques
- Repair irrigation system components such as valves, controllers, sprinklers, and pumps with precision
- Conduct excavation work using hand tools or excavators for system installation or repairs in various terrains
- Collaborate with landscaping and landscape maintenance teams to integrate irrigation solutions seamlessly into outdoor environments
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system operations and maintenance procedures clearly
- Manage irrigation projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and quality standards are met
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience working on irrigation equipment and systems
- Expertise in new irrigation system installation projects and ongoing maintenance activities
- Knowledge of electrical diagnostics related to automated irrigation control systems
- Hands-on experience with excavation, construction tools, power tools, and excavators
- Familiarity with soil science principles relevant to irrigation efficiency and landscape health
- Ability to troubleshoot complex irrigation system issues effectively and efficiently
- Background in landscaping, lawn care, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is highly desirable
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to client communication
- Experience with irrigation management practices for optimal water use and landscape sustainability
