Duties
- Develop and deliver comprehensive curriculum on patient care, medical terminology, anatomy, pathology, and clinical procedures tailored to health science students.
- Facilitate online instruction using learning management systems (LMS) such as Blackboard, ensuring accessible and interactive learning experiences.
- Supervise clinical training sessions in hospital, clinic, or laboratory settings to provide practical experience in patient care, nursing, radiology, and other medical specialties.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development that incorporates current trends in medical research, clinical trials, and specialized fields like oncology, anesthesiology, psychiatry, pediatrics, neurology, and family medicine.
- Support students from diverse cultural backgrounds by fostering an inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement and understanding of complex medical concepts.
Skills
- Experience in clinical instruction within hospital or clinic settings with a focus on patient care and acute care procedures.
- Familiarity with learning technology platforms such as Blackboard or similar LMS for online instruction delivery.
- Ability to teach complex topics like anatomy knowledge, physiology (including animal physiology), diagnostic radiology, laboratory techniques, public health principles, and documentation review processes.
- Strong organizational skills for managing classroom activities alongside clinical training schedules in hospital or laboratory settings.
