Responsibilities

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, utensils, and storage areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Support cooking processes by following established procedures and assisting senior kitchen staff as needed
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling practices and sanitation standards
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient inventory management to ensure freshness and availability
- Contribute to catering events or special functions by preparing bulk ingredients or plated dishes
Qualifications
- Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
- Previous food preparation or kitchen experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic cooking techniques required
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures necessary
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food industry best practices beneficial
