Duties
- Stretch dough by hand and assemble pizzas accurately
- Prepare and assemble a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and menu standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools safely and efficiently
- Ensure all food handling and safety protocols are strictly followed to maintain sanitation and hygiene standards
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new toppings or specialty pizzas to enhance customer offerings
- Maintain consistency in food production by adhering to recipe specifications and portion control guidelines
- Support the food safety sanitizing procedures to keep the kitchen clean and compliant with health regulations
- Collaborate with team members during busy periods to ensure timely pizza delivery without compromising quality
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or a culinary setting, preferably with restaurant or high-volume production experience
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment
- Experience with food handling, cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards customer service and kitchen collaboration
- Prior experience in dietary aide roles or dietary department settings is a plus but not required
