Ice Blaster Technician
We are currently hiring candidates for local work as well as ongoing and upcoming work in Charleston, SC; Portland, OR and Jacksonville, FL! All Candidates MUST be willing to travel. *Bonuses provided for extended travel periods*
EMS Ice, Inc., a leading Marine/Industrial contractor located in Chesapeake, VA has immediate openings for Cryogenic Ice Blasters. We will train qualified candidates.
- MUST be willing to travel to project assigned by the Project Management Team for the duration and successful completion of the project.
- MUST have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- MUST be able to pass a background check and obtain access to various shipyards and military installations.
- MUST have a passport OR be able to get a passport.
- PREFERRED OSHA 10 Maritime Training
- PREFERRED previous shipyard experience
Physical Requirements include:
- Ability to stand, squat, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, walk, push, pull, crouch and crawl for long periods of time
- Ability to travel up and down ladders and stairs
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to work in tight spaces
- Ability to wear a respirator (to be fit tested by employer)
- Ability to handle vibrations from operating equipment
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- Operate ice blasting equipment to clean ventilation systems
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols while performing blasting tasks.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute projects efficiently.
