The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in various kitchen environments, including restaurants and catering services. The Cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food handling procedures are followed to maintain safety and hygiene.
- Assist in menu planning and the development of new recipes.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including utensils, equipment, and workspaces.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs to management.
- Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize waste while ensuring quality.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food handling, and meal preparation.
- Experience in fine dining or catering environments is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
