Role Summary
As Clinical Trials Sales Lead, you will own and grow Vet-AI's new business pipeline in the companion animal clinical research market. You will be the primary commercial contact for pet food manufacturers and petcare companies looking to commission clinical studies, positioning Joii's platform as the cost-effective, technology-enabled solution for decentralized and hybrid trial designs.
You will partner closely with the VP of Sales, clinical and product teams, and represent Vet-AI at key US, UK and international industry events. This is a rare opportunity to define and build a critical revenue stream for a fast-scaling business.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-develop and execute the sales strategy for the Clinical Trials division.
- Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, lead generation, solution scoping, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with decision-makers at pet food and petcare companies across the US and the UK
- Maintain a healthy, well-documented pipeline with accurate forecasting and CRM reporting.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to design tailored solutions that deliver measurable value for clients.
- Represent Vet-AI at US, UK and International industry events, conferences, and professional forums.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Proven track record in clinical trials sales, petcare, healthcare, or life sciences.
- Experience selling into pet food companies and the broader petcare sector.
- Demonstrated success building/managing a sales pipeline and closing new business deals
- Comfortable in a startup or scale-up environment; thrives taking ownership and building process from scratch.
- Exceptional communication, influencing, and relationship management skills.
Preferred
- Established network within the US and UK pet food or petcare industries.
- Knowledge of clinical trials operations, regulatory frameworks, R&D partnerships in animal health.
