Job Summary
Shadow Cats is seeking a creative, energetic and innovative Community Engagement and Administrative Manager to build community support through strong storytelling, digital engagement, website management and fundraising campaigns and events.
This position serves as the public-facing storyteller for Shadow Cats and is responsible for growing donor participation, strengthening supporter engagement and creating fundraising experiences that inspire action.
The ideal candidate is passionate about animal welfare, specifically cats, loves social media, enjoys thinking outside the box and understands compelling stories can change lives.
Responsibilities
- Manage all digital fundraising, social media platforms, website development and community outreach
- Manage ongoing outreach programs and establish new ones where it serves Shadow Cats mission. Provide monthly and as needed reports
- Excellent writing and storytelling abilities
- Data collection and tracking of campaign and program performance.
- Full administrative responsibilities.
- Produce monthly newsletter and donor communication and campaign materials.
- Highlight resident cats, rescue stories and mission impact. Work closely with sanctuary staff to identify compelling stories. Recognize that every cat has a story worth telling.
- Strong public speaking skills with the ability to confidently represent the organization at events, chamber/city meetings/ media interviews and where needed.
- Engage with volunteer coordinator and manage volunteers as needed.
- Engage supporters and interested parties with goal to increase supporter base and donor engagement.
Qualifications
- Experience in fundraising, communications, digital marketing, social media, website management for nonprofit development
- Excellent writing skills with storytelling ability
- Organized, creative and self motivated
- Passion for feline welfare and advocacy
- Strong project management skills with organized and detailed record keeping abilities
- Comfortable wearing many hats

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
