American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a 22-bed ED requiring at least 1 year of experience and AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.

22-bed Emergency Department with 3 dedicated behavioral health beds, 2 trauma rooms, and 17 standard ED beds
-
Staffed with RNs and Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians

Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 (4-room assignment per nurse)

Floating charge nurse model in place

Night shift: 19:00–07:30

13-week contract

Active SC or compact RN license required
-
Minimum 1 year of ED nursing experience required

Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC

NIH Stroke Scale certification required

Responsibilities include patient assessment, individualized care planning, and implementing nursing interventions aligned with physician plans of care

Expected to perform hourly rounding using service excellence standards

May be assigned charge nurse duties; charge nurses are expected to hold an advanced resuscitative certification appropriate to the patient population

Contributes to department performance through precepting of novice staff and participation in Evidence-Based Practice initiatives
