American Traveler is hiring an RN Oncology Clinic Nurse for an outpatient medical oncology clinic, requiring an active KY or compact RN license, BLS, and ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification.

Outpatient Medical Oncology Clinic providing comprehensive care for cancer patients

Supports medical oncologists with treatment plans, patient education, medication management, referrals, and follow-up care

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (First Shift)

Full-time position at 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts

Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact)

Current BLS certification required

ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card and OCN certification required

ADN/ASN with 5 years of experience or BSN required
-
2 years of oncology or relevant clinical experience preferred

Reviews patient charts prior to clinic visits to ensure all ordered test results are available
-
Meets with patients to obtain review of systems, perform medication reconciliation, and gather pertinent visit information

Ensures tests, treatments, and referrals are ordered and followed up appropriately

Assists physicians with treatment orders, medication orders, and refills
-
Maintains accurate documentation of patient observations, treatments, education, medications, and responses including pain and distress assessments

Assists with pre-authorizations, pre-certifications, billing, insurance issues, FMLA, disability forms, and specialty medications

Supports clinical trials by assessing patient eligibility, providing education, and coordinating with clinical trials staff

Assists with data collection for new patients and consults

Maintains professional development by obtaining and maintaining OCN certification and staying current with new treatments
