Job Type: Part-time → Full-time

Job Description
We're not looking for someone to answer phones. We're looking for the person who runs the room.
Core Services Hood Cleaning is one of the fastest-growing commercial kitchen service companies in San Diego. We keep restaurants safe, compliant, and running — and right now, we need the organized, sharp, calm-under-pressure person who becomes the backbone of our entire operation.

What You'll Own
This isn't a checklist job. You'll have real ownership across four areas:
Customer & Front Line
- Answer every inbound call and text — same-day, every time
- Onboard new clients and set expectations that make them loyal for years
- Proactively reach out to existing clients to keep relationships strong
- Follow up on Google reviews after completed jobs
Scheduling & Dispatch Support
- Manage the lead sheet from intake to close — nothing falls through
- Build and distribute the weekly job schedule alongside our Field Manager
- Handle reschedules and re-services before they ever reach the owner
- QC our job software (FieldRoutes) daily: jobs closed out, photos uploaded, billing correct
Finance & Back Office
- Run biweekly payroll accurately and on time
- Track and follow up on outstanding receivables and declined cards
- Manage insurance renewals, certificates of insurance, and claims
- Keep receipts and records flowing to the accountant
People Operations
- Help onboard new technicians — paperwork, systems access, first-day experience
- Post and manage job ads, screen applicants, and schedule interviews
- Keep the KPI dashboard current for weekly leadership review
What Success Looks Like in 90 Days
- The owner's phone volume is cut in half
- Zero missed lead follow-ups — the lead sheet is always current
- Payroll and the cash tracker run without the owner touching them
- FieldRoutes is clean: every job closed out with photos and documentation
Who You Are
- Ridiculously organized. You close loops without being reminded
- Warm and confident on the phone. Customers trust you fast
- Tech-comfortable. You pick up new software quickly (we use FieldRoutes, QuickBooks, GoHighLevel)
- Numbers don't rattle you. Payroll and cash tracking feel like your comfort zone
- A self-starter. You want ownership of your role, not someone watching over your shoulder
Nice to have: Experience in field services, dispatch, bookkeeping, or office management. Bilingual English/Spanish is a real plus.
Why This Role
- Direct line to the owner — your work moves the business every day
- Ground floor of a company growing fast across San Diego
- Real variety, real ownership, real impact
- Clear path to Operations Manager as we scale to multiple crews and markets
The Details
- 20–30 hours/week to start, with a clear path to full-time
- $21–$30/hr depending on experience
- San Diego, CA — in-office with some hybrid flexibility
