Member Services Team Lead
Humanmade is looking for a full-time Member Services Lead to join our team, serving primarily Humanmade’s members but also supporting shop operations as a whole. This position will be 5 8-hour days per week, for a total of 40 hours weekly, and will occur in-person at our training facility in San Francisco. This role’s expected schedule is Saturday through Wednesday.
The Member Services Team Lead is one of the front lines of our business, supporting key operations as well as the front desk in leading other front desk staff. The ideal candidate for this rewarding position should have an empathetic and outgoing personality and the desire to connect with a diverse community of people from all walks of life and backgrounds. The candidate should have strong organizational skills, desire to lead and take initiative to make positive contributions to our organization.

Humanmade is a non-profit community-based training, manufacturing, and prototyping studio on a mission to democratize access to the tools of innovation to individuals from all walks of life. Humanmade is the first of its kind, with an explicit mission around both training and inclusion in the maker movement. In addition to fostering a growing maker community, Humanmade strives to open doors and provide access to our studio by developing programs around workforce development and STEAM, among many more. Humanmade, with the support of key partnerships, helps to bridge the gap between simply learning a skill to building upon and applying those skills towards a sustainable career.
Primary Responsibilities: Duties will include, but are not limited to: managing equipment calendars, handling member and client relations, managing event bookings and calendars, and leading the front desk team as a whole. Normal front desk duties will be expected from time to time as coverage is needed. These duties involve answering the phone, making reservations, membership changes, class enrollments and more.

Requirements:
- BSW or BA in other Human Services Field
- 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in human services, possess demonstrated commitment to client services

- Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and assignments effectively
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive and engaging attitude
Preferred:
Experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mental illnesses, or challenging behaviors highly preferred
