The Special Education Services Clerk performs office functions for Special Education Services. Must be proficient in Word and Excel and be able to use other office equipment. Good communication skills.
Essential Duties:
- Works with Special Education Director, Director of Clinical Services, and Social Worker to be sure all work is completed in a timely manner, all paperwork for students is filed, and all deadlines are met.
- Politely responds to the needs of school districts, parents and staff in a timely manner.
- Assist Evaluation team in the timely completion of evaluations.
- Tracks individual evaluations completion, assignment of evaluation packets to administrator for completion, and copying and disseminating the completed evaluations.
- Preparation of STAC forms for billing.
- Assist in the management of the flow of student applications, IEP’s, and progress reports.
- Sensitive to timelines and deadlines.
- Responds to requests of school district staff, doctor’s offices, parent etc. in a timely manner.
- Maintains the department’s database and keeps the information up to date.
- Filing student records monthly.
- Attends relevant training sessions and shares information.
- Orders supplies as needed.
- Types, duplicates, and collates materials as assigned by supervisor.
- Performs word processing and typing tasks as requested.
- Processes Special Education Services incoming mail as needed and outgoing mail on a daily basis
- Maintains computer databases for Special Education.
