Position: Vector Surveillance Intern
Status: Part-time (Around 20 hours per week). Temporary seasonal position within the months of July & August
Summary: This position is responsible for conducting activities under the Vector Surveillance & Control grant program and also the Tick Surveillance grant program. These activities include conducting surveillance of West Nile virus in mosquito populations. Additional responsibilities include activities related to tick surveillance events, including tick dragging and/or carbon dioxide trapping. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required.
As a public health department, we do have some medical and vaccination recommendations for employees with exemption forms available.
