Hours:
- Morning Shift: 5:30 a.m. – 7:30 a.m.
- Evening Shift: 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
- Total: 20 hours per week
Bright Beginnings Academy for Kids is looking for a dependable, organized, and self-motivated team member to oversee the opening and closing of our child care center. This position plays an essential role in ensuring our center starts and ends each day safely, smoothly, and in compliance with Wisconsin child care licensing regulations.
This schedule is ideal for someone looking for part-time work around another job or for a parent who needs to take children to school in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon.
Responsibilities
- Open and close the child care center each day.
- Greet children and families with a warm, welcoming attitude.
- Ensure all licensing requirements are met during opening and closing procedures.
- Verify classrooms are appropriately staffed and staff are in their assigned classrooms.
- Assist with breakfast preparation in the morning.
- Supervise the center during opening and closing hours in partnership with the Director.
- Help coordinate staff schedules, allowing teachers to leave as ratios permit.
- Complete cleaning of bathrooms, hallways and ensuring classrooms are ready for next day.
- Prepare classrooms and common areas so the center is ready for the next day.
- Communicate any concerns or important information to the Director.
Qualifications
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance are required.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to supervise staff professionally and respectfully.
- Previous experience in child care or a supervisory role is preferred but not required.

This position is critical to the daily operation of our program. We are looking for someone who is dependable and committed to being at work as scheduled. If you have difficulty maintaining reliable attendance, this position is not the right fit.
