Job Title: Shipping Clerk
Location: Greenwood, SC
Position Type: Part-Time, 8am to 1pm, Mon. thru Fri.
Job Summary
Our company is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable Shipping Clerk to join our growth-minded, fast-paced warehouse distribution-shipping team in Greenwood, SC. The clerk will be responsible for ensuring outgoing shipments are accurately packed, processed, and shipped with safe and accurate preparation and documentation to our customers across the U.S. and Canada. The ideal candidate takes pride in their accuracy, maintains a clean, organized workspace, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where their contributions directly impact the company's success. This is a part-time position. The clerk will be required to work Monday through Friday only, from 8am to 1pm each day. This position would work well for some college students as well as for moms with school-age children who want to work while the kids are in school but still be readily available to pick the kids up afterwards.
Daily Key Responsibilities
- Order Fulfillment/Processing: Accurately pick, pack, and label products for customer sales order shipments.
- Shipping Preparation: Wrap, strap, tape, and package products to ensure they are secure for safe transit.
- Documentation: Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading (BOLs) and packing slips.
- Logistics & Quotes: Create shipping quotes and process shipments using UPS Worldship, FedEx Ship Manager, and various Freight LTL programs and services.
- Inventory Management: Assist with monitoring stock levels, track outgoing shipments, and promptly report any shortages, discrepancies, or damages to the inventory manager. Assist the inventory manager by accurately documenting all product movements, conducting counts,
- Safety & Maintenance: Help keep the shipping and loading areas clean, organized, and properly labeled and adhere to all company safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 2–3 years of warehouse or inventory experience required.
- Computer skills/software proficiency: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software. Experience with UPS Worldship, FedEx Ship Manager, or similar warehouse data systems preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to be on your feet, walking around for much of the shift, and to lift or sometimes move products up to 50 lbs
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Attributes: Strong organizational and record-keeping skills, detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and shipping carrier staff.
- Technical Skills: Experience operating a forklift and/or forklift certification is a plus.
Physical Demands & Work Environments
- Ability to lift, possibly up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift periodically during shifts.
- Ability to frequently work in a non-climate-controlled or fast-paced warehouse environment.
Schedule & Requirements
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, day shift only (8am to 1pm); no weekends.

Salary will be discussed, negotiated, and agreed upon once a job offer is made. The rate of pay offered will be based upon skill level and amount of job-related experience the candidate has.
