We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Sales Trainee at our LaGrange, IL Norkel facility! As a Sales Trainee, this is an entry-level role designed to develop future sales professionals through structured training and hands-on experience. Under the guidance of senior sales staff and management, trainees learn essential sales techniques, product knowledge, customer relationship management, and business development strategies. The program aims to build the skills necessary to transition into a full-time sales representative or account manager role.

Essential Job Function for this position:
- Identifies new revenue opportunities within new customer’ communities through communication programs and other activities as needed. Establish pricing with VP of Sales for their accounts.
- Prospects, qualifies and generates sales and make sales calls and presentations to obtain new customers.
- Ensures prospect identification, planning, account qualification and needs analysis at all prospect levels.
- Telephones and visit prospective accounts to identify appropriate contacts, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline.
- Works closely with the sales team and VP of Sales.
- Responds to requests from customers and suppliers for information and will present online presentations.
- Remains knowledgeable and up to date on changes and developments in the paper industry.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
Other Significant Job Functions Include:
- Comply with company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED plus related college courses.
Preferred Education:
Required Skills (Technical, Clerical, Language, etc.):
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales reports, operating instructions, and training and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, costs, profits, proportions, percentages, and volume.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Professional appearance to support his/her role as a managerial representative.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
