JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
Manage metal fabrication projects from award through completion, supporting coordination between estimating, detailing, the shop, and the field
Coordinate project drawings, details, and submittals; track approvals, revisions, and document flow throughout the job
Serve as the day‑to‑day point of contact for clients, helping manage scope, expectations, and ongoing communication
Support project setup and tracking, including schedules, budgets, and job documentation
Coordinate closely with the shop to align fabrication priorities, material availability, and delivery schedules
Assist with material, fastener, and miscellaneous steel procurement to support fabrication and field needs
Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure clear scope, timing, and job requirements
Track project costs and support estimating follow‑up, change tracking, and job closeout activities
Support field coordination, including occasional local site visits and field measuring.
Ensure work aligns with Stewart Iron Works quality standards, safety practices, and applicable codes
Knowledge of metal materials, fabrication processes, and industry standards
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and CAD software
Ability to manage all phases of project life cycle, from concept to completion
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Knowledge of applicable codes, health and safety regulations
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams
Willingness to travel as needed for project supervision and client meetings
Experience with contract management and vendor negotiations
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
Understanding of Lean principles and practices in manufacturing is a plus
Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems
