As a Press Technician, the primary role is to operate and maintain high-volume industry-grade printing equipment and prepare digital files for output. This role is critical to ensure consistent product quality, efficient production flow, and safe equipment operations. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, organization, physical stamina, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining consistency and precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot digital press machines to production specifications
- Review products for quality, alignment, and color accuracy
- Daily maintenance and load paper and inks/toner
- Communicate effectively with all team members
- Complete accurate paperwork and ensure deadlines are met
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with team members to meet deadlines and production goals
- Any duties deemed necessary by management
Qualifications
- Previous experience with a digital print press or manufacturing
- Familiarity with database or asset management systems
- Working knowledge of Windows-based systems
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a production setting
- High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirement
- Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods, 7-8 hours per shift
- Walk between machines, workstations, and storage areas
- Frequent bending, squatting, and stooping to load product or adjust equipment
- Ability to lift, carry, and push material weighing up to 50 pounds
- Visual acuity to distinguish fine details and color variations
- Ability to work in environments with heat, noise, and moving mechanical parts
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to safely operate machinery
- Visual acuity to monitor machine operation and inspect product quality
- All roles require normal color vision
Preferred (Bonus) Skills
- Past experience in a Press Production environment heated surfaces
Pay: From $18.40 per hour
