Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Pharmacy Applications Specialist at Baptist South. This is a Full-time day's opportunity working Monday - Friday, from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
As a Pharmacy Applications Specialist you will be responsible for:
Managing all components of the Pharmacy Automation System, including ADC configuration, Omnicell maintenance, carousel inventory, par level optimization, troubleshooting, security, and staging new automation devices.
Purchasing medications and pharmacy supplies, maintaining inventory levels, optimizing medication inventory, and coordinating medication procurement.
Monitoring and managing medication shortages, recalls, backorders, alternative products, and ensuring medication barcodes are maintained within the pharmacy system.
Performing controlled substance audits, supporting drug diversion prevention initiatives, participating in diversion meetings, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Providing education and training to pharmacy technicians and nursing staff on automation systems, workflows, new technology, and maintaining technician competencies.
Supervising pharmacy packager operations, generating automation reports, and collaborating with vendors such as McKesson to resolve system issues and implement enhancements.
Supporting department operations by improving technician workflows, implementing new pharmacy technologies, assisting with buyer responsibilities, and performing other duties as assigned.
Pharmacy Applications Specialist Experience:
- 3-5 Years of Pharmacy Technician Experience
Education & Credential Requirements:

High School Diploma Required

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPT) - PTCB Preferred
