Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Body Shop Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing repair estimates, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the repair process. This role requires a strong background in automotive repair and excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and technicians.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate damaged vehicles to determine repair needs and costs.
- Prepare detailed estimates for repairs, including parts and labor.
- Communicate with customers regarding the status of their repairs and answer any questions they may have.
- Collaborate with technicians to ensure accurate assessments and efficient repair processes.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in auto body repair.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to identify issues related to air brakes, oil changes, brake repairs, and other automotive diagnostics.
- Provide exceptional customer service to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Body Shop Estimator or in a similar role within the automotive industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with dealership operations is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
