JOB SUMMARY
American Engineering & Metalworking (AEM) has an immediate opening for a full-time GENERAL LABOR / METAL FABRICATOR to join our team. This is a position geared with opportunity for growth. Successful candidates must be versatile and able to work in various areas of the shop floor to learn and address our production needs.
Idea candidates are entry level experienced in metal fabrication and mechanically inclined to contribute to our success.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Fabrication, Laser, PEM inserting, Press Brake and CNC Machining areas in production
- Learn operation of CNC and manual sheet metal equipment
- Load and unload materials using forklift
- Work from blueprints, engineering specifications and production schedules
- Engage with various areas of shop floor for learning production needs
- Meet safety, quality, and productivity expectations
Ideal Experience
- Experience in a metal manufacturing facility
- Forklift and machine operation
- Any CNC Machine operation
- Ability to read engineering drawings, gauges, and digital calipers
- Entry level experienced in metal fabrication and mechanically inclined to contribute to our success
Job Requirements:
- Ability to lift at least 30-50lbs.
- Ability to work on your feet for a complete shift
