Key Account Manager – Elk Grove Village, IL
$135,000 Total Compensation ($100,000 Base Salary + Commission)

You'll have the opportunity to build relationships with customers across these industries while representing a product line that has been trusted for more than 100 years and continues to lead the market.
Responsibilities
- Manage key customer accounts while identifying opportunities to expand existing business and develop new accounts.
- Sell new products, conduct training presentations, create proposals, and represent the company at trade shows, strategic meetings, and client events.
- Serve as the primary liaison to domestic and international customers through regular face-to-face meetings (30-40% travel).
- Negotiate proposals, pricing, and contracts.
- Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers to increase account penetration and cross-selling opportunities.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while providing creative solutions to meet client needs.
- Partner with leadership to develop and execute account strategies, goals, and growth plans.
- Stay current on industry trends, market developments, and competitive activity.
- Provide marketplace feedback and recommendations to support regional growth strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- 3+ years of sales experience. Outside sales experience is strongly preferred.
- Stable work history with a proven ability to build relationships and earn client trust.
- Confident, personable, and professional with a consultative sales approach.
- Experience selling products is preferred.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Ability to travel 30-40%, including overnight domestic and international travel. A valid passport is required.
