Duties
- Prepare and assemble menu items following established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate various kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, poaching stations, braising pots, and food production machinery safely and efficiently.
- Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients and supporting the development of new dishes aligned with culinary standards.
- Maintain strict food safety protocols, including sanitizing procedures, proper food handling, and adherence to food safety management systems.
- Uphold cleanliness standards through regular sanitizing of workstations, utensils, and equipment to ensure a safe kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Strong culinary skills including knife techniques, grilling, braising, poaching, and general food preparation.
- Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations.
- Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and high-volume production processes.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
- Prior experience in fine dining or catering environments is a plus; however, enthusiasm for learning new culinary techniques is essential.
