Massachusetts Eye Research and Surgery Institution (MERSI) is seeking a top-notch, full-time ophthalmic technician/scribe to join our dynamic team at our Reading, MA location. Experience is strongly preferred but not required. Must have excellent customer service skills. All of our ophthalmic technicians are trained to perform every aspect of the position. Duties include, but are not limited to, patient work up, diagnostic testing (fundus photos, OCT, visual fields, A scan, and more), assisting with minor procedures, and other related responsibilities. Successful candidate must be comfortable with using electronic medical records. Must be able to function efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with NextGen EHR is a big plus.
