Job Summary
The Culinary Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen and production operations at The French Workshop, ensuring high standards of food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and efficiency. This role leads and supports kitchen staff, maintains food safety compliance, and helps uphold the brand’s commitment to exceptional French-inspired products and an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily kitchen and production operations to ensure efficiency and consistency
- Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain productivity and quality standards
- Ensure all recipes, portioning, and presentation meet The French Workshop standards
- Monitor food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in compliance with all health regulations
- Maintain active compliance with Food Handler and food safety requirements
- Manage inventory levels, minimize waste, and assist with ordering supplies
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house management to ensure smooth service
- Address and resolve kitchen issues quickly and professionally
- Support new menu rollouts and seasonal product preparation
- Step in hands-on during peak periods or as operational needs require
Qualifications & Requirements
- Prior kitchen supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Valid Food Handler’s Certificate required (must be current and maintained)
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health code compliance
- Ability to lead, coach, and work collaboratively with kitchen staff
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical & Schedule Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Flexible availability, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to communicate with team memebers in Spanish when necessary
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
