John Jensen State Farm is Waunakee's highly rated insurance agency (4.9 on Google and voted Favorite Insurance Agency three years running). We're looking for someone who enjoys helping people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to build a long-term career with a team that invests in its employees.
This isn't a call-center position where you're reading scripts all day. You'll become a trusted resource for our customers, helping them navigate important life events while developing expertise in insurance and financial protection.
What You'll Do
Answer customer calls, emails, and walk-in questions with professionalism and empathy.
-
Assist customers with policy changes, billing questions, claims support, and coverage questions.
-
Process policy updates accurately and maintain detailed customer records.
-
Build strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs—not just completing transactions.
-
Recognize when a customer's situation has changed and proactively recommend a conversation about their insurance needs.
-
Work closely with the rest of the team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
-
What We're Looking For
We're less concerned about insurance experience than we are about finding the right person.
You may be a great fit if you:
Enjoy talking with people and building relationships.
-
Have a positive, confident, and professional communication style.
-
Are naturally curious and ask thoughtful questions.
-
Notice details and stay organized even when things get busy.
-
Take ownership of problems and enjoy finding solutions.
-
Learn quickly, accept coaching well, and want to keep improving.
-
Want a career with opportunities to grow, not just another job.
-
Previous customer service experience is preferred, but we will train the right candidate.

Insurance experience isn't required.
We'll pay for your Wisconsin Property & Casualty, Life, and Health insurance licensing, including exam and course costs upon successful completion. You'll receive hands-on training from an experienced team and continue expanding your knowledge as your responsibilities grow.
As you gain experience, you'll have opportunities to take on new challenges, develop additional skills, and advance your career within the agency.
