Zionsville Presbyterian Church is a busy, growing congregation located in Zionsville, IN, a community on the northwest edge of Indianapolis. At ZPC, we seek to bring about God’s kingdom here on Earth through caring for those within our walls and also extending that care out into the world—both near and far. We are looking for a Facilities Coordinator to join our team and assist in our day-to-day facility operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in facility maintenance, possess strong customer service skills, be dependable and reliable, and be able to work independently. The Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating use of the the facility during evening hours. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join a fast-paced environment. The hours are Monday-Friday 12-9pm.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and tear down of needed resources (tables, chairs, A/V equipment, etc.) for facility events
- Clean bathrooms, offices, and general areas on all ZPC properties as assigned
- Provide general maintenance and necessary property repairs for ZPC facilities
- Oversee contracted cleaning staff to ensure quality service
- Provide outside grounds maintenance including sweeping, shoveling sidewalks and salting under certain weather conditions
- General landscaping duties include leaf removal, planting, weeding all flower beds, and tree trimming and mulching
- Pay careful attention to securing church property and general security sweeps
- Assist in the opening and closing of the facilities as required
- Assist in coordinating contracted services, to accomplish maintenance and repairs, which cannot be practically accomplished by facilities staff
- Coordinate and execute special projects as assigned
- Provides assistance in collection of data and preparation of reports, as requested, i.e. grease trap report
EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- General work experience which includes a significant role in facilities maintenance
- Strong interpersonal and customer service minded communication skills
- Ability to see facility problems that need correction before the problem escalates
- Dependable and reliable attendance
- Initiative, work independently
