Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job Description
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides basic nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs), physicians, or other healthcare professionals. LPNs work in hospitals, long-term care facilities, clinics, physician offices, rehabilitation centers, and home healthcare settings.
Spectrum Support Services is working with a client in Ocean County, NJ that is need of nurses for all shifts, 7-3, 3-11, and 11-7.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor and record patients' vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiration).

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.

Collect patient health information and maintain accurate medical records.

Observe patients and report changes in condition to the healthcare team.

Perform wound care and dressing changes.

Assist with medical procedures and diagnostic tests.

Educate patients and families about health conditions, medications, and care plans.

Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients.

Follow infection control and safety protocols.
Qualifications
-
Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.

Current LPN licensure in the state of practice.

CPR/BLS certification (required).

Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.

Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift patients or equipment as needed.

Capability to respond quickly in emergency situations.

Ability to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
