Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong understanding of truck operation, route planning, and adherence to safety regulations. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service.
Responsibilities
- Operate various types of trucks, including roll-off trucks, dump trucks, and refrigerated trailers.
- Load and unload freight securely and efficiently.
- Plan and follow designated routes for timely deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery schedules, and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Utilize forklifts when necessary for loading and unloading cargo.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Familiarity with operating roll-off trucks, dump trucks, refrigerated trailers, and other freight vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of load unloading procedures and safety protocols.
- Excellent route driving skills with the ability to navigate effectively using maps or GPS systems.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
- Attention to detail in maintaining delivery logs and adhering to schedules.

Pay: $24.00 - $31.00 per hour
