Job Summary
Join our team as a CNA/Transporter and make a meaningful impact every day! In this dual-role position, you will assist with transporting residents to and from appointments and off-site activities while also providing hands-on care as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) within our facility.
When not assisting with transportation, you will support residents on the floor by delivering compassionate, high-quality care. This role is ideal for someone who is flexible, dependable, and committed to enhancing the lives of those we serve.
Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility for accompanying Driver/Transporter while transporting to and from appointments and events outside the facility. Remains with residents outside of the facility as appropriate.
- Assures that all resident wheelchairs are properly positioned and locked down in the vehicle (e.g. van and/or bus) as well as ensures that all wheelchair brakes are properly locked. In addition, assures seatbelts/shoulder straps are properly applied to all residents.
- Performs and documents completion of resident safety checklist prior to leaving for each transport.
- Primary responsibility for signing out Facility cell phone, making sure cell phone is charged and operating properly, and returning cell phone to locked cabinet when finished with it’s use.
- Assists with scheduling resident medical appointments as well as notifying family members regarding same. Also assists with communication to Nursing Supervisor of all necessary information regarding resident appointment, condition, etc.
- Assists with preparation of appropriate paperwork needed for medical appointments and properly documenting such medical appointments in appropriate resident record.
- Shares responsibility with Driver/Transporter for maintaining clean exterior and interior of facility vehicle(s).
- Performs resident care duties in the facility as needed and/or assigned.
- Must have or obtain a Chauffuers License within 30 days of hire.
Pay: $20.42 - $22.65 per hour
