Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students’ physical abilities, including mobility, strength, coordination, and functional skills.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with each student’s unique needs, goals, and educational objectives.
- Provide hands-on therapy interventions such as therapeutic exercises, trigger point therapy, orthopedics-focused treatments, and neurology-based approaches to improve functional outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, school nurses, parents, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and ensure seamless integration of therapy services within the school setting.
- Monitor student progress regularly and adjust treatment plans accordingly to optimize rehabilitation outcomes.
- Maintain detailed clinical documentation adhering to healthcare standards for medical terminology, physiotherapy practices, and electronic health records (EHR) management.
- Support discharge planning processes when students transition out of therapy or move to different care settings such as outpatient clinics or home health environments.
Requirements
- Valid licensure or certification as a licensed Physical Therapist with practicing experience in pediatric or school-based settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in patient care across diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, neurology, and home & community care.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and clinical documentation standards relevant to physical therapy.
- Experience working with outpatient rehabilitation centers or inpatient hospital environments is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to develop effective treatment plans utilizing physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and patient rehabilitation strategies.
- Familiarity with outpatient clinic experience and outpatient rehabilitation center practices is preferred.
- Excellent client communication skills to engage students and their families effectively while fostering a supportive environment.
- Proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and electronic health records (EHR) management for accurate documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals across disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Prior experience in discharge planning and acute care settings will be considered advantageous.

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
