Seneca Financial Advisors LLC is a financial, tax, and investment planning firm looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual seeking an opportunity in a growing tax practice. This is a position working directly with the firm’s advisors and client data. Seneca Financial Advisors offers objective and independent advice to its clients. We specialize in providing highly personalized, comprehensive wealth management services to affluent individuals, retirees, and families with multiple generations. Responsibilities:
· Preparation of federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships and trusts.
· Tax planning and projections: Review and analyze all sources of income/deductions, including investment income and capital gains and losses, and project total for year; estimate tax, figure timing of payments, review and update quarterly estimated tax payments; consider tax-saving strategies.
· Preparation of tax-related analyses/materials for client meetings.
· Research federal and state income tax issues and begin to prepare written conclusions for review.
· Assist with responses to routine IRS or state tax notices.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree required; EA, CPA Certification and/or 2-3 years of tax-related experience a plus.
· Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook; prior exposure to CCH Axcess & SurePrep tax software and BNA Tax Planner a plus.
· Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
· Able to handle multiple assignments and prioritize workload.
· Team oriented.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
