Recreational Gymnastics Instructor
Gymnastic Sports Academy (GSA) is seeking an energetic, dependable, and engaging instructor to join our team and lead our preschool to school aged gymnastics classes!
Located in Lancaster, NY, GSA features a 12,000-square-foot, fully air-conditioned facility equipped with in-ground loose foam pits, tumble tracks, and specialized apparatus. We are looking for someone who genuinely loves working with young children and can bring high energy, patience, and positivity to our recreational programs.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: Background working with toddlers and young children preferred (childcare, early childhood education, camps, or sports).
Movement Background: Experience in gymnastics, dance, cheer, tumbling, or athletics is preferred, but we are willing to train the right passionate candidate.
Group Leadership: Confident leading groups of preschoolers in an active, high-energy environment.
Personal Attributes: Warm, patient, reliable, playful, and eager to learn.
Curriculum Execution: Able to follow GSA’s progressive skill plans (obstacle courses, fundamental motor skill stations, body awareness) while bringing your own enthusiasm and personality to class.
Availability: Mostly evening weekday hours (4:00-9:00), Saturday mornings (9:00-1:00)
What You’ll Do
Teach and assist in our recreational gymnastics classes.
Guide young athletes through fundamental motor skill development, spatial awareness, balance, coordination, and kinesthetic exploration.
Utilize our 12,000 sq. ft. facility—including tumble tracks, foam pits, and age-appropriate equipment—to create a safe and exciting environment.
Help children develop listening skills, social interaction, confidence, and independence in a structured setting.
Build strong, encouraging connections with both students and parents.
Position Details
Job Type: Part-time
Location: In-person (Lancaster, NY)
Schedule & Availability: Flexible weekday afternoon/evening shifts, and Saturday morning shifts. (birthday parties available on per event basis)
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
