Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your ability to communicate effectively and provide outstanding customer service will be essential in managing guest relations and enhancing their overall experience at our establishment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
- Manage the seating chart on OpenTable and efficiently assign tables to guests based on availability and reservation status.
- Provide accurate wait times and keep guests informed during peak hours.
- Answers calls providing excellent phone etiquette and manages phone reservations.
- Assist with guest inquiries, offering information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area, including menus and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism, striving for resolution to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Utilize the POS system for reservations and manage any necessary administrative tasks related to guest services.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred, particularly in food service or restaurant settings.
- Previous experience with OpenTable system.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests and team members.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing seating arrangements and guest interactions.
- A positive attitude and a passion for providing exceptional guest experiences are essential.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
