We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a background in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Systems, with an emphasis on Heat Transfer Equipment. Having the ability to analyze project specifications and prepare accurate cost estimates for complex systems is required. Primary responsibilities:
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for modular and skidded fully integrated packaged equipment.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers on-site and equipment vendors to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best prices for materials and services.
- Prepare detailed reports on estimates, including breakdowns of costs associated with labor, materials, and equipment.
- Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.
- Generate preliminary design documents to include but not limited to P&IDs, Bills of Materials and General Arrangement Drawings.
Required skills:
- Proficient understanding of construction/manufacturing operations and contract negotiations.
- Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail for accurate cost estimation.
- Familiarity with project management principles and cost control measures.
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word is required
- Experience with ERP systems is preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously are required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering
