Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking an Injection Molding Operator to join their team in Clifton, NJ. In this role, you will ensure smooth material handling and machine operation to support efficient and high-quality injection molding production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform material changeovers according to production schedules and documented procedures
- Supply molding machines with the correct resins, colorants, and additives
- Monitor and refill material levels in hoppers, bins, and dryers to prevent downtime
- Troubleshoot and maintain material handling systems (e.g., vacuum loaders, dryers, blenders)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in material handling areas, following 5S and safety guidelines
- Clean material lines and execute purge procedures to prevent cross-contamination
- Follow drying times and temperature settings per processing specifications
- Assist in end-of-shift cleanups and prepare materials for the next shift
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be bilingual (English and Spanish)
- 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or plastic injection molding environment preferred
- Basic mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot auxiliary equipment
- Familiarity with thermoplastics (ABS, Nylon, TPU, Ultem) is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods in a fast-paced environment
- Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Understanding of contamination prevention and material lot traceability
Pay & Schedule:
- Pay: $24.00/hour
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
