Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. You will engage with students through play-based learning and structured activities, ensuring that each child receives individual attention and support in their educational journey.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and learning.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a safe and respectful atmosphere for all students.
- Provide individualized support to students with diverse needs, including those requiring special education services.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and development.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom space conducive to learning.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and other activities to ensure safety and well-being.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as needed.
Skills
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain an orderly learning environment.
- Experience working with students in a preschool or daycare setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures to ensure the safety of all children in your care.
- Ability to educate young children through engaging activities that promote learning and development.
- Experience in infant care is a plus for those working with younger age groups.
- Familiarity with special education practices to support children with varying abilities.
- Previous babysitting experience can be beneficial in understanding child behavior and needs.
- A background in early childhood education is preferred, along with experience working with children of various ages.
