Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and machinery using schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools
- Troubleshoot building issues and implement solutions
- Assist with carpentry and painting projects to ensure facility aesthetics meet quality standards
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control industrial processes when applicable
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance tasks ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections using CMMS software
- Lead or support team members in facilities maintenance projects, demonstrating leadership and supervising experience when required
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all maintenance activities
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting with tools such as ohmmeters
- Proficiency in facilities maintenance across diverse environments
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for industrial automation tasks
- Knowledge of residential painting techniques for aesthetic upkeep of facilities
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and record keeping
- Supervising or leadership experience to guide team members effectively
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams and document work clearly
- Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, and technical manuals confidently
