Overview
Join our growing and dedicated team as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver and play a vital role in providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services for individuals requiring non-emergency medical transport. This is an customer-focused role, you will be the friendly face ensuring passengers arrive comfortably and on time to their appointments. Your driving expertise, excellent communication skills, and commitment to service will make a positive difference in our clients’ lives every day. Responsibilities
- Safely operate specialized vehicles (Ford Transit vans) to transport patients and clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or other scheduled destinations such as dialysis and outpatient services.
- Assist passengers with boarding, safely securing and disembarking, including those with mobility challenges or special needs using motorized lifts installed on van(s).
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of vehicles to ensure safety and reliability
- Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies during transportation routes
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, healthcare facilities, and passengers and their family members to coordinate schedules and address any concerns.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service by being courteous, respectful, and attentive to passenger needs.
Qualifications
- Valid NC driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant preferred, but not required. Would also consider training the right candidate who has a military, fire, or police background.
- Experience driving as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation healthcare facility company providing NEMT services is a PLUS.
- Knowledge of paratransit operations or heavy lifting capabilities for assisting passengers with mobility devices or luggage
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers, healthcare providers, and team members. Customer service is extremely important to our company and our clients.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks necessary.
- Physical ability to lift moderate weights and assist passengers as needed while maintaining safety standards

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
