Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Position Summary
Summary:
The Student Nurse Intern (SNI) is a trained member of the Nursing Department who performs specific tasks under the direction/supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) preceptor. The SNI understands and complies with the Philosophy, Standards, Objectives and Policies of the Department as well as their respective scope of practice.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
Education Required
- Must complete in-house orientation program
- Successful completion of 2 semesters (minimally) of hospital-based clinical practicum while enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
- Completion of SNE Orientation and Program OR Designated Support Staff Orientation.
Experience And Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Speaks, reads and writes English
License/Certifications
- BLS required for Emergency Department Student Interns only
