Position – Freelance Women's Outerwear Designer (Part-Time, Onsite)
Reports To – Senior Designer

Amerex Group is seeking an experienced Freelance Outerwear Designer to support our ladies' outerwear team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for a designer with strong technical skills who can quickly integrate into an active product development calendar and contribute immediately across multiple brands.
The designer will support Nine West Outerwear, Becca Outerwear, and various private label programs while collaborating closely with our design, production, and overseas factory partners.
Responsibilities
- Create front and back CADs using Adobe Illustrator.
- Develop, update, and maintain technical packages and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Create colorways and update line sheets.
- Prepare technical construction callouts and garment specifications.
- Assist with presentation materials.
- Communicate with overseas factories regarding product development.
- Partner with internal production teams throughout the development process.
- Manage multiple development calendars and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Produce multiple technical packages daily while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of apparel design experience, with outerwear experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of garment construction and apparel development.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
- Experience creating technical flats, tech packs, and BOMs.
- Experience communicating directly with overseas factories.
- Knowledge of fabrics, trims, and outerwear construction.
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Preferred Experience
- Women's outerwear.
- Moderate or better retail brands.
- Private label product development.
- Working in fast-paced apparel environments.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
